kamuro: A firework that produces a star with long trails. The trails are usually gold or silver, burn as they fall and may change color.

lampare: A firework shell of flash powder that sits over a container of kerosene or diesel. The lampare produces fireballs.

mine: A ground firework that expels stars into the sky.

mortar: A tube from which a single firework shell launches. Mortars may be made of metal, plastic, or paper.

Old Glory: A common nickname for the American flag.

oxidizer: An ingredient in fireworks that provides oxygen to the chemical reaction. Potassium nitrate is a common oxidizer.
